Kitchen Therapeutic Cooking
Another important facet of Mission Possible = Life is its focus on therapeutic cooking. Recognising that food is more than nourishment, the initiative uses cooking as a tool to inspire confidence, creativity, and community. In a recent collaboration with Foxleigh Grove Care Home, Chef Nand led a heartwarming session where residents came together to prepare a fresh, vibrant salad. For many, it was more than just a cooking class — it was a chance to connect, share stories, and rediscover joy in the simple act of creating something with their own hands.
The programme is particularly impactful for those who struggle with loneliness, anxiety, or trauma, as cooking provides a sense of purpose, accomplishment, and comfort beyond the routines of daily life. These sessions remind participants that the kitchen can be a place of healing and empowerment.
